Consecration of Guru Rinpoche statue with Geshe Zopa next Saturday, 7th October 2-4pm
We are thrilled to announce a momentous undertaking at Hayagriva Buddhist Centre – the fundraising campaign for a magnificent Padmasambhava statue. This revered spiritual master, also known as Guru Rinpoche, holds a significant place in the hearts of all Tibetan traditions, particularly the Old Translation School (Nyingma).
Just like Lama Tsongkhapa, who wholeheartedly learned from all traditions in Tibet, and following the example set by Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, a holder of the non-sectarian lineage, the statue helps create a harmonious environment where practitioners from all backgrounds can come together to learn and grow in wisdom and compassion.
Guru Padmasambhava—deeply revered as the embodiment of the three times’ buddhas—is quoted as saying, “representations of the Guru that the Guru himself has not consecrated do not exist”. Everyone involved in the building of a Guru Padmasambhava statue, therefore, gains incredible merits:
”The sentient beings of the future who will not have met me. But who build a statue … In the form of an object of offering—a representation of Padmasambhava— will attain the goal of the three kayas and will establish the victory banner of the teachings. Whoever aspires to and has devotion in this, will gather all they wish for, Like a heap of jewels that has no increase or decline, and is a source of permanent bliss.”
Your contributions, big or small, play a crucial role in manifesting this sacred representation of Guru Rinpoche. Your support not only enables the construction of this sacred representation but will also help countless individuals purify negativities and accumulate merit in the future. Join us in empowering transformation and benefiting all beings! Sarva Managlam ( may all be auspicious).
