We are pleased to offer the new Exploring Buddhism Program being piloted by FPMT. This program aims to provide a balance between study and practice, and between the growing understanding of the theory and the deepening of personal experience of the Buddha’s teachings. Presented by our resident teacher Venerable Chokyi.
These one hour classes are designed for a beginner to build an understanding of the Tibetan language in order to connect more deeply with the meaning of common prayers and chants.

In this course, we investigate the role of the teacher on the spiritual path. We will also look at the qualities of a teacher and of a student, how to avoid common mistakes and how to cultivate a teacher-student relationship for the greatest benefit in our spiritual practice. Presented by our resident teacher Venerable Chokyi.

The Vajrasattva mantra is a powerful practice to purify negative karma and a quick way to transform your mind. It is a kind of detox of the mind. The practice begins with a short explanation followed by several guided sessions and generous break times. This practice may be led by our resident teacher or an experienced senior student.
