Sangha Day / First Turning of the Wheel – 6 August 2016

BlessingsSaturday 6 August – Sangha Day / First Turning of the Wheel

International Sangha Day commemorates Buddha’s first teaching, the First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma.

Also known as Chokhor Duchen, this Saturday is one of the four most holy days of the year, the karmic effect of positive action are multiplied 100 million times!! We look forward to sharing a day of practice, socializing and celebration of our incredibly good fortune to have been born a human and have access to Dharma, our most precious teachers and sangha. On this day, Tibetan Buddhists make pilgrimages to holy places, offering incense and hanging prayer flags.
